Last Day in the Apartment!

Well, here we are - down to my last day in my apt - well, tomorrow doesn't really count since there won't be anything in here except the stuff I need to drag to Salvation Army and NY. I never knew how dirty my apt was - well, I probly did, but was just in denial.... packing has been awful, my family was here and was nice enough to help out - otherwise I might not have finished... I'm still not really done, but all that's left is bathroom stuff and just random crap that I am going to shove into a final box...

Oh! So I graduated! I'm an official MBA now! Congrats to all Ross 2007 grads - it's been a great 2 years, and now on to bigger and better things... everyone's departing at random times - I think some of my friends have already left, and more are leaving each day - it's kind of sad, but there's always email! Oh, that's Vince in the pic with me. Look at us, in our cap and gown - oooh.

I'm around in Ann Arbor for a few more days, I have to get some follow up shots for my trip to Africa, I need to run to REI, and then on Thursday, I'll drive to NY to crash at my dad's for a few days and then Monday - it's AFRICA! I need a new camera. Money needs to grow on trees.

Packing Misery

So, the past few days have been really great - Spring Fling, Tigers game, Kickball tournament - beautiful weather all around in Ann Arbor... alas, I really need to start packing up my apt... as I look around in misery at my many belongings strewn around the floor - wondering - do I really need to bring those old editions of Sports Illustrated, with the Knicks on the cover, or the Yankees on the cover - I'm a pretty big pack rat. Or what about my closet? argh - so much stuff to deal with! In one week, my belongings will be picked up to be put in storage all summer until I get back to NYC - I have to pick what I need to last me 2.5 months! hmmm. Am I going to need both ipods? probably not... sigh.

I hate packing. I hate unpacking more. This is going to be awesome. And I'm sunburned from kickball yesterday.

Graduation Blues? Not Me!

So, I feel like there's this general malaise around the bschool - the MBA2s are either stressed trying to bang out their final 3 group papers or studying for whatever crazy finance finals they have left, and then people are trying to go out as much as possible to hang out with everyone before we all graduate and depart for the various corners for the world....

Now, I'm not sure I'm feeling this malaise - I'm pretty stoked to be done with school and get on with the rest of my life. I wouldn't really say that I'm depressed to be leaving Ann Arbor - this little town that I've been sentenced to for the past two years... I'm not saying that there won't be people that I'm going to miss seeing everyday, but for the most part, I think I'm ready to be done. I'm ready to get the schooling part of my life over with. I've put in my time and I think I've done enough in return for Michigan and Ross to leave my mark - and I can't wait to live a normal life again.

Of course I'll miss hanging out and seeing people everyday, but seriously, who wants to do homework on the weekends? Group papers blow. recruiting blows. anything to do with MAP isn't that phenomenal. the same 3 bars? awesome. oh, and I hate driving everywhere.

Regardless, growing up with real responsibilities has its downsides, but I'm looking forward to being a real person again, and seeing my old friends in NYC. I'm excited to travel this summer with some awesome people to some amazing places - and then, that will be it for Ross. and you know, I'm totally okay with it.

okay, so I'm going to start a blog for my family and friends to follow when I'm getting ready to graduate from Ross and embark on my 7 week journey to Africa. And my move to NYC. And my struggle to pay rent in the West Village - but whatever.

done and done.
